Discovering the Toronto Islands in the Snow
In December 2021, I had an unforgettable experience discovering the Toronto Islands in the snow. A magical day, out of time, just 10 minutes by ferry from the city shore. I still remember that gentle feeling of slipping away, leaving the urban hustle behind for a peaceful, almost enchanted place.
As soon as we arrived on the island, I was amazed by the beauty of the Canadian winter. The trees were covered in a thin layer of snow, the lanes were deserted, the wooden houses looked like something out of a fairy tale. Everything was white, calm and serene. I felt like a child, wonderstruck by this unique atmosphere.

Snowy Exploration of the Toronto Islands
We decided to venture through the village streets despite the biting cold. We walked on pavements covered in fresh snow, admiring the colourful wooden houses and desolate gardens, frozen in time. We discovered secret lanes, narrow passages that seemed to lead into the unknown. I loved that feeling of discovering something new, even though everything was within reach.

We finally reached the beach, which was almost entirely covered in snow. The waves were calm and the water looked almost frozen. We walked along the shore, listening to the sound of waves and snowflakes falling gently. Everything was so peaceful, so quiet. I felt as though time had stopped and we were the only witnesses to this fleeting beauty.

An Enchanting White Memory
This day will forever be etched in my memory. I loved discovering the Toronto Islands
