Everything about Lombardy

Lombardy must-sees

Lombardy is home to some of Italy’s most beautiful scenery. Lake Como, shaped like an inverted Y, is dotted with villages such as Varenna, Bellagio and Menaggio, all linked by a ferry network. Milan is worth a visit for the Duomo, Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper, the Navigli district and its creative energy. Bergamo, often overlooked, boasts an absolutely remarkable medieval upper town (Città Alta).

Getting around Lombardy

The rail network efficiently connects Milan to Como, Bergamo and Brescia. On the lakes, the ferries and hydrofoils operated by Navigazione Laghi are the most enjoyable way to travel. If you rent a car, watch out for the winding roads around the lakes and the ZTL (limited traffic zones) in town centres.
